The Investment Promotion Authority is taking steps closer to replacing the current Company Registration System with a web-based solution that will provide high quality, fast and efficient online services to IPA clients.
The online services will include:
- Registration of entities including Local Companies, Foreign Companies, Business Names,
- Associations, Business Groups; and Certification of Foreign Companies;
- Lodgment of documents online, based on statutory requirements;
- Generation of correspondence and certificates associated with the lodgment of documents;
- Maintenance of registry data by authorized IPA staff;
- Provision of public and internal searches.
The IPA is mindful that not everyone may have access to internet facilities once the system is up and running.
As such, the IPA will still maintain the current system whereby paper documents are lodged at the front counters and at regional offices.
Work on the online system will begin as soon as all requirements and legal processes are finalised.
