Kokopo Office Gets Down To Serious Business

The IPA office Kokopo is in full operation after the opening last month.

It’s reported up to 4 - 6 lodgments in a day which is quite unexpected.

Furthermore, about 10 to 15 clients have come in on a daily basis with
general queries such as:

registering a business;
the cost to register;
length of registration process;
information on renewing/reregistering
a business; and
information on reinstatement process of deregistered company.

According to IPA officer based in the Kokopo office, Angeline Lukaot, the office has not encountered any difficulties or problems since it was opened.

She said there is sufficient awareness on the opening of an IPA branch in Kokopo by the local radio station - Radio East New Britain (RENB), the Provincial Commerce and Industry office who are referring clients to the IPA Kokopo office as well as business houses who are using their network to spread the word.
