The
Investment Promotion Authority’s deposit slip has become widely accepted by its clients and the public, indicating that more people are using the slips to do their transactions for necessary payments for IPA fees.
This is evident with the current demand for more slips by
WESTPAC bank. WESTPAC Bank has requested for more deposit slips for its branches in Lae, Mount Hagen, Waigani, Boroko and Port Moresby to meet the growing demand. In addition, the bank has requested for the deposit slips to be sent to their branches in Alotau, Goroka, Kavieng, Kokopo, Kimbe, Madang and Wewak.
These branches have also reported a demand for the use of the IPA deposit slips. The IPA deposit slips were introduced in September last year and has been available in all banks in the country since then. According to the office of the Registrar of Companies, WESTPAC is in the lead with the usage of the IPA’s deposit slips.
